Okay, I’ve been promising a hairdo FOREVER, so I figured I would make up with a video. Videos always make me happy, so I figured you like them, too!

The Ponytail Request Part 1

Let me tell you a little bit about “the ponytail request”. Many of you know about this, but this is for those who don’t. Every time I start to do Bethel’s hair, she asks for a ponytail. Now, I could not/would not do a plain old ponytail. I would break down. Stare at it all day thinking about how plain it is. I would..

Anyways, I figured I would do a series of the ponytail request. I know quite a few people that have the “ponytail request” problem. They are like me. Could not and would NOT do a plain ol’ ponytail. So, I decided it would help quite a few people if I were to do a series. This one is fast, easy, and cute. I have some more “dressed up” ones coming up, though. You need to know how to do a twist braid for the style. And some of you don’t. I’ve taken care of that with this:

Begin by wetting the hair and parting it to the side. You can part it on either side you want.

Part off a section on the side with the most hair. I pulled the back up with a temporary clip.

Twist it. NOT A TWIST BRAID. Just a regular, old twist.

Have her hold the twist while you smooth the back, as though you were doing a ponytail.

Add the twist and put in your elastic.

Pull a section out of the bottom of the ponytail.

Do a twist braid (if you scroll up a little, there’s a video).

Rap it around the elastic.

When you get it wrapped around all the way, secure with a clear elastic. Your done! How easy!

And here was my style for today:

Our base was this do, but to add our own fun twist, we substituted twist braids, for regular braids. I am teaching Mom how to do these cute hairstlyes. She did this one on me. She is doing really well!!

Ahhh… I’m Too Tired For Hair

Let me begin by saying, I am NEVER too tired for hair. But one day we were super busy and didn’t have time. This is what it looks like when they try to do their own hair:

See? So, I like it better like this:

So, it’s not pretty when they do their own hair is the point I’m trying to make. But, I really want to do this post to show you the funny “she did her own hair” picture!!!
