Twist Braid Into Side Ponytail

I had my Dad help me with my picture problem, so here’s a hairdo.

This hairdo I started off with wetting it, parting to the side (whatever side you want), on the side with the least amount of hair, I parted behind the ear, pony tailed it, and twist braided it (excuse that I don’t have pictures for this). Section off another piece of hair.

Add the twist braid and ponytail it.

Continue this pattern until you get to where you want your side ponytail to be.

Your will have a big section in the front.

Divide it in half.

Do a twist braid.

Repeat on the bottom section.

Add it to your side ponytail and secure with another elastic.

The back.

The first side.

The other side.

A cute front view!

If you don’t mind, I would like to add something about last night. After family night, we brought Sara home! It was SOOOOOOO MUCH FUN! We played outside for a few minutes, we came in and took turns playing games on my computer, and the rest of the night (no, she didn’t spend the night) we played board games. Then, her Mom picked her up. Super fun!

Several Cute ‘Do’s and An Award!

I will begin with the award. Thank you SO much, Julie!! I really appreciate this. I am all of the sudden getting more awards! Thank you SO much!

The rules are to thank the person who gave the award (I think I have already done that!)  and write seven random facts about myself that you may not know. Then, I tag seven people that I think should recieve this award!

1. I LOVE dill pickles. I LOVE them! But, I absolutely cannot swallow sweet.

2. I love to read. I like mystery stories best. I am also a fan of stories that keep you on your toes. I have several biographical books that I love. I really like the Nancy Drew series. Great mysteries. My favorite was The Hidden Staircase. That’s a book they’ll give you a scare. And don’t read it right before bed, because I can’t guarantee you that you won’t have nightmares.

3. I have moved 5 times.

4. I’m am nine years old. Yes, nine years old. Some people I’ve noticed that follow my blog think I am a mom and these are my little girls. These are actually my little sisters! I got into hair a while back. I check several hair blogs. I starting trying to do the stuff they do. Before I know it, I have a hair blog!

5. I really am terrified of snakes and bears. If you said there was a bear ten feet away from me, I think I would literally pass out. I am absolutely terrified of snakes. I don’t know why. Not from any bad experiences. I cannot believe I actually touched a snake one time! Levi saw a snake in our front yard. Dad was in the shower, so we had to wait for him to kill it. Levi really bad wanted to touch it. But, I so did not. He finally convinced me (I was little). Slowly we walked toward the snake. The snake hissed at us. And how did we respond? We rubbed it! I walked back to the porch. Very afraid.

6. I like to write books. I have written a billion stories, two chapter books, and a mystery book.

7. I’m obsessed with hair and taking pictures of hair to post on my blog!

I am tagging/awarding….

1.Shaunell, she is SSSSOOOO creative with hair

2.Mom, she is creative in meal planning

3. I don’t really know anyone else (besides people that don’t check my blog!)

These messy buns are so cute, aren’t they? There are millions of different ways to do these. This is how I do mine. I fished around forever trying to find one that would work with their hair type.

The Twist Tuck

Bad title, I know, I couldn’t think of anything else. Here is the video of the twist:

Keep twisting until you get to where you want your side ponytail to be.

I have her hold it, and I do the other side.

Bring your twist together. Make a loose ponytail and do a pull through. I have a video!

I use the little clear elastics. It helps hide the ponytail better! I stuck in a bow one time, but I regretted it. You can’t see the cool part. The hidden part!

See? The pull through looks like a twist!

Here’s a better view of the pull through. It really blends in with the twist, and hides to ponytail holder.

And you can see, it keep hair out of the face for a day of fun! This holds up really well, too!

When yo get to the bottom where there is no hair left to add, just braid it.

I like adding ribbon.

 Cute Waves

This is a hair do I like on myself! Begin by doing a million braids.

Sleep in the braids.

We curl the ends before taking them down.

Then, take them down.

Cute waves!

Wed added a clip to the front.

I have a Curl former post coming up!

I Have The Best Mom In The WHOLE World!

Yes, I have the best Mom in the WHOLE world! She knew I had been wanting curlformersforever, and today while she ran in Sally’s she bought me some! THANK YOU SO MUCH, MOMMY!♥ Let’s get to the post ,shall we? Let me begin by saying…Bethel’s hair does NOT curl! We have tried EVERY curling method known to man and it wouldn’t curl. Then, we tried these……

The tool and the curlformers. We bought the long&narrow ones because our hair is so long. There is also “Long” and “Wide&Long” but none of these are as long as long and narrow.

First I wetted her hair since it was clean. Usually, you would do this when the hair is sopping wet from the shower

We also put this gel in. You can use mousse, gel, or the forming lotion. The forming lotion’s price is higher then usual. You don’t have to use it unless you just want to. Mousse and gel work just as well.

Inset one of the ends of the curlformer into the hook.

Part off a small section of hair. Normally, you would take of a smaller section, but her hair is THIN, so I have to take big section.

Get the hair in the hook like so. Then, you slowly slide the hook out of the curlformer. It helps to to hold the end ( the one closest to the head) as you are doing this.

Now, yours should look something like this.

Repeat around the head.

The AWESOME curlformers.

After I took this picture she said,”I put on my ‘SO excited’ face for that picture. ‘Cause I am so excited about curlformers!”. She knew all about them because I talked so much about them. Anyways, to the next step. You can either sleep in them or blow dry them. We blow dried them because we didn’t think Bethel would sleep well with them in. I didn’t get them dried good enough before I took them out, so they were damp.

That’s how well it did! Now, keep in mind these two things:

1. Bethel’s hair is still wet.

2. Bethel’s hair is stick straight and won’t curl.

For some reason, the pictures didn’t show the curls very well. They worked AWESOME and her hair was a WHOLE LOT curlier.

She also sported her ’ssso excited face’ for this picture. This time, she was excited her curled!

Now, these pictures are french braid waves. I gave Jubilee double french braids one day, then she slept in them.

Before

After

So, more about curlformers. The most popular question that pops up when some one posts this on their blog is:

“Do the different colors curl differently?”

I am going to answer it before it is even asked. The answer is no. They don’t! Pink, orange, green, blue, yellow, they all curl the same!

P.S. Thank you so much, Mommy! I ♥ you!!
