Blueberries!

27 June 2008

We had so much fun today blueberry pickin’ with all our friends at Blueberry Ridge Farms in Pontotoc.  It is a pretty large farm. She rode the kids around the farm for a while and gave them a tour while the adults (and the really little ones) picked berries. Then the kids came back and picked too.  We had such a good fellowship time.  Judah and Jubilee had fun too but were WAY too hot in the 90+ temperatures. They fell asleep immediately and came home and had a good bath to wash off the bug spray and the sunscreen.

Thanks Anita!! Always fun to be with you guys.

Stacy-I just love your blog-please give me lessons I would love to do this!!! We too are now familiar with all the “big family” questions and looks. Some of my favorites: “Do you run a daycare?” “Is that little baby from India?” “Do they all have the same dad?” “Is your husband black?” Now we get even more strange looks and questions since my cousin (who is adopted, black and pregnant and looks like she is 12, although she is 21)-has been staying with us. she is shorter than Mackenzie and looks younger than her too-so when we walk through Walmart with Mackenzie holding Lexie and my cousin holding hands with Mae, It is very fun to watch people nearly trip over their shopping carts as they stare at us. Mackenzie has been asked numerous times if Lexie is her baby!!! I do have to say I was a little flattered when someone asked if I was Mackenzie’s sister-yes and I’m only 21!!! Sometimes I think if they act up I will just pretend they are not mine!!!! Please email me-I would love to get together!!! -Michelle
