Shopping Saturday

21 June 2008

Today was a day to run lots of errands. First we stopped at Our Childrens Closet in Tupelo where they were having 75% off consignment. Every time I walk in there they say that everything is 75% off. That is why I go.  They also sale upscale childrens clothes and I never look…not even at the 50% off rack! HA I would love to dress Judah and Jubilee alike but big bouncing Judah does not look good in those one peice “rich boy” outfits! HAHAHAAH  They are cute. Just not on my boys. So, anyways I got several play outfits, dresses and pj’s for $1.50 and $2.

We then stopped at Hancocks to get some cheap flannel for Cassia to make us a few more baby blankets. I could buy them cheap somewhere but then Cassia wouldn’t get the joy of making them.

We then headed to Old Navy. I hoped to find the babies matching outfits….couldn’t find any. So, I bought some 1.99 sweaters for Bethel for winter. They were so cute.

Then we ate outside at McD’s playland. Of course McD’s was out of apple dippers as usual…and sweet tea!!! They had some made before we left so I got some to go!

I then hit Cato, my all time favorite store. I have no clothes. I like style but the latest styles are just not flattering on me. I’m not sure what is flattering on me right now!  Dad would suggest Omar the Tentmaker….I bought a few skirts, tops for church and play.  I need clothes BAD.

We then stopped at Toys R Us and got our free Thomas train with the coupon our friend sent a link to. Cassia got Lady…Levi got Salty..and Bethel got Rosie. They were excited.  I bought a cheap baby monitor so we can move the babies beds…MAYBE..into Cassia’s room since Jubilee is sleeping all night and Judah just gets up one time.  That is sad. They have stayed in our room longer than any of the kids ever did but Jeff just needs the room so I suggested we move them.  Levi was in our room for about 3 nights when he came home, Cassia was about 2 weeks, Bethel a few months…and the twins are now almost 9 months.  Now I have to walk ALL the way down the hall (not that far) to check everyones breathing! HA I know ALL you moms do the same thing. Sometimes I even check the older ones. Will I ever get over that?  Probably not until they are married.

I then ran in Hobby Lobby to get velro for Jubilee’s hair bows since the hair clasps won’t stay in.  I also bought me a cheap rubbermaid box for my bow making supplies because Bethel informed me she needed her backpack back.

We are now home.  Now ALL  I have to do is laundry, take apart car seats and wash them, dinner, dinner for tomorrow planned out, 5 kids baths and clothes laid out for tomorrow….

I’m jealous, I have to go all the way to Barboursville for Old Navy and Jason put a ban on that trip a few months ago when gas prices started going up. I WANT a Sonic Burger ~ which I can only get in Barboursville I’ve told him if he doesn’t take me (like for our anniversary tomorrow) before August I might have to go several times while he is in Wisconsin for 3 days LOL!!!

And you’ve taken to blogging quite well!! I feel like I don’t do well enough with mine, especially in the last week I’ve been concentrating on our ummmm….vacation plans….to Walt Disney World in September ;0)
