Mystery of History
18 September 2008What fun we are having with Mystery of History Volume II. The kids loved Volume 1 and we plan on studying history this way for several more years. Levi ASKS for it. He wants to take it to the beach with us. That is phenomenal. This has never happened before! HAHAHA
We have studied through Paul’s missionary journeys, the first Christian martyrs. Today we studied the Dead Sea Scrolls and made salt crystals that are growing in the window and made ancient documents like they found near the Dead Sea with bible verses on them. We dipped them in tea and they are drying in the window.
I wish we could find things like this for every subject that they totally love like this.
So, while at the beach the only school we are doing is the buried city of Pompei. And guess where I am burying our city????? In the sand of course. I got some little cheap “treasures” and I am going to bury them for them to have a dig. How cool is that? I don’t have these ideas often so please think this cool! HA
