Emergency Appendectomy
12 November 2008Ok. I tried to think of a fun title. Couldn’t find humor this morning! HA
After 3 drs visits, 2 ER visits, 3 urinalysis, 3 CBC’s, IV fluids, antibiotic shot, CT scan, etc…the last 16 days, I finally got someone to do a CT and diagnose appendicitis. We won’t even talk about how North MS Medical Center ER did a chest x-ray on her and not a tummy one. It is very frustrating to get older and not have as much faith in the medical community as you once did.
Anyways, we went straight from the doctors off on Monday, through the dreaded ER, and on to surgery. Cassia has 3 incision spots and is very sore. Walking is a big chore. I had to get her out of her hospital bed yesterday 5 times and make her walk. She was released about 1 p.m. and is home. She is very very sore and gets up and takes a short walk every hour or two. She has been asleep all night so I am sure this morning is going to hurt getting up.
Jeff is sick again.
I could add all the details and drama into the day of the surgery story. But, suffice it to say the day was very eventful for all the family. Thanks to Mr. Ben and Mrs. Linda for keeping our kids..until almost midnight Monday night!

All of you have got to get well and stay well…so you can come home and visit all your family, and hopefully see our new house (?) in a few weeks =0)
