Toaster on Fire….Crockpot killed
13 November 2008Ok. One of those days. No! One of those months! HA
I put bread in the toaster this morning and made 2 peices. I put 2 more peices in and went to help Cass out of bed. By the time I got to the couch I saw smoke ROLLING out of the kitchen. I am known to do crazy things in choatic times so I ran in there. The toaster had gotten stuck…and burnt toast to a crisp and was still cooking it. The house still smells of burnt toast.
Then, I was using 2 crockpots last week. I decided to sit one on the stove right below the cabinet it goes in. I needed to move some dishes to put it back up. I began scrambling eggs this morning and just pushed it aside not knowing that when I pushed it it hit the dial. It turned it on low and began melting my crock pot. Thank the good Lord when I went back into the kitchen to do something I saw smoke AGAIN and figured out. I had to obviously throw it away.
Jeff was in Wal-mart after church buying me a nice, new 4 holer toaster…so I don’t burn the house down with the old one! HA

Sounds like my day yesterday!
I reheated some homemade chicken noodle soup for lunch, and after eating came upstairs to finish school with Parker. Carson came up a little while later and said mom you burned the soup to a crisp!!! LOL I thought I turned the burner off, but obviously not! Ummmm, too many irons in the fire, I guess! No pun intended!
