Happy 14 Anniversary Jeff!

4 February 2009

Fourteen years ago today I was skinny. Oh no! That isn’t what I wanted to say.  Fourteen years ago today I was married to the man of my dreams. I met him when I was a little girl in church. His daddy is a preacher; so is my daddy. We were married at Big Bottom Baptist Church in WV. (no comments please! HAHA)  We were supposed to be married at another church but that is a whole ‘nother legal story in itself.

There was a BIG snowstorm on the day of our wedding. So, the groomsmen spent the morning shoveling snow off of the church parking lot…that was on a little hill.   The day ended with snowballs being thrown at us instead of rice.  We got into Jeff’s red Chevy Cavalier and sped aaway.  It was so bad we couldn’t get to our honeymoon destination. Couldn’t even get 5 minutes out of town. So, we put on our casual clothes and bundled up and went to the MExican restaurant for a nice dinner.

Such as been our life, we have always ended up at the Mexican restaurant when things are REALLY bad.  Well, if they are financially bad we don’t but just the stress level. Guess it all started on that snowy wedding night and has been a trend that has continued. We drown our sorrows in chips, salsa, spanish rice and chimmichangas.

Due the the “mild depression”, Cassia named it, we will be running to McD’s for an anniversary dinner, all 7 of us, before church tonight.

I love you honey.

Too funny!! I would love me some chimichangas tonight, too, but we’re having fare from a whaling ship….beans and cabbage and potatoes. Oh, well..

Big Bottom….I’ll leave that one alone!

    Happy Anniversary…sorry it’s late.
I wish you guys could’ve gone out somewhere nicer, but I totally understand that ‘mild depression’ too, when Jason was working at home we had times like that too.
