Reminiscing…..

Written on 1 October 2009 by

The twins 2nd b-day is coming up in a few days.  Just looking back into my pregnancy journal. Here is my entry from October 1, 2007:

35 weeks 4 days

Still miserable. Still holding on.  I take Levi tomorrow to get his braces off.  Then Wednesday I go and see Dr. Mitchell.  He said he won’t let me go past 37 and that is next week.  Shew..dreading pitocin but I have been miserable since 30 weeks so I think I can take it.  I am just praying my water doesn’t break while me and Levi are out alone tomorrow. My nights consist of several baths….getting up at 3 a.m. and staying awake. The burning in my chest.  Today it has been REALLY hard to walk. We are trying to keep the house straight but that isn’t working too well either! HA Jeff has had allergy problems for over 2 weeks and doesn’t feel well. I hope he gets over them soon!  Levi and Jeff are supposed to have a Contenders campout this Friday so I hope the delivery, whenever that is, doesn’t mess it up. IT is at the Elvis Presley Lake and Campground. We drove up there Saturday to make sure he had cell phone service.

Seasons of Change

Written on 6 August 2009 by

After 6 1/2 years in Mississippi we are heading back North to live near our hometowns and for Jeff to pastor a mission church there.

Kids are excited although you always have some “setbacks” when moving…(example: peeing the pants, being cranky, etc) and these things can go on for a month or two. Not fun to look forward too! HA  I am having bittersweet moments. My homeschool friends and church friends here are the best. They have taught me many things and been wonderful examples to our family and our children. Pray we find the same in WV!

Pulling out tomorrow morning.  So thankful God put us here for a season. A bitter season for 2 years and a very sweet season for 4 1/2 years.  I have had 3 children here.

Hopefully someday I will be able to come back and see my friends here..maybe retire here?  I’m thinking ahead.

Bethel asked today if Leah, Little Amy and Mrs. Tammy knew that we were leaving. She won’t even remember living here in a year. That is sad.

Pray for us!

Sweet Friends

Written on 29 June 2009 by

Saturday night our sweet homeschool friends threw us a going away party.  We had yummy food, good conversation and the kids played ball.  It was a good night of fun for us and glad to see our sweet, southern friends!

Sunday morning after service we had a church dinner/going away party for our family.  It was some yummy food again and Mrs. Glenda made her killer mexican cornbread. I ate 2 peices and skipped dessert!!!

I am going to miss my church friends and homeschool friends.

Another chapter in our life closes, and another opens………..

Happy Fathers Day Daddy!

Written on 19 June 2009 by

Psalm 128

Blessed is everyone that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.  For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be; and it shall be well with thee.  Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house:  thy children like olive plants around thy table.  Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.  The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.  Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

Happy Father’s Day daddy. I love you!

I Declare It Happy Husbands Day

Written on 13 June 2009 by

WARNING: MUSHY MATERIAL AHEAD

Why is there a Father’s Day and not a Husbands Day. Well, today I declare it that! HA

Sorry to all you single ladies out there, but I have the best husband by far and he is not available.  Don’t try to steal him!!!

I love you Jeff!!

He works so hard for us and has taken care of the kids, meals, diapers, etc…all day while I take my medicine for sinus infection, tonsilitis and double pink eye!!! We won’t mention how much he is going to have to work this weekend during late night hours to make up for helping me feel better today.  Nor will I mention him dropping me off at the doctors office and then realizing he has no wipes and the babies are in cloth diapers! HA  Also, when he took them to eat at Chik-fil-a, all 5 kids, there was 2 busloads of teenagers there. Then he did my grocery shopping and got my meds for me.

“Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people and thy God my God” Ruth 1:16

I think this verse was read at our wedding.

I’ll follow you to the ends of the earth sweetheart!
